Nous sommes Lisa Magrini et Matias Miceli, chanteurs et pédagogues, passionnés par les traditions vocales anciennes et les musiques du monde. Chaque année, nous organisons des stages de chant qui invitent des amateurs à découvrir des répertoires rares, à affiner leur écoute et à faire l’expérience du chant comme un véritable art du partage.

À Syros, nous travaillons avec vingt choristes autour de chants grecs, séfarades et griko, ces chants de langue grecque conservés dans le sud de l’Italie. Notre démarche associe transmission orale, écoute mutuelle, plaisir de chanter ensemble et la joie de faire découvrir d’autres cultures musicales.

Pour nous, un stage ne s’achève véritablement que lorsque la musique quitte la salle de travail pour rencontrer le public. Nous sommes donc très heureux de partager ce concert avec les habitants de Syros : c’est une occasion de faire dialoguer nos cultures, de rendre hommage aux traditions musicales de la Méditerranée et de créer, le temps d’un concert, un lien vivant entre les chanteurs et ceux qui les écoutent.

We are Lisa Magrini and Matias Miceli, singers and vocal teachers, passionate about early vocal traditions and world music. Every year, we organise singing workshops that invite amateur singers to discover rare repertoires, refine their listening skills and experience singing as a true art of sharing.

Here in Syros, we are working with twenty choir singers on a repertoire of Greek, Sephardic and Griko songs – songs in the Greek language that have been preserved in southern Italy. Our approach combines oral transmission, attentive listening, the joy of singing together and the pleasure of introducing others to different musical cultures.

For us, a workshop only truly comes to an end when the music leaves the rehearsal room and meets an audience. We are therefore delighted to share this concert with the people of Syros. It is an opportunity to bring our cultures into dialogue, pay tribute to the musical traditions of the Mediterranean and create, through music, a living connection between the singers and those who come to listen.

Είμαστε η Lisa Magrini και ο Matias Miceli, τραγουδιστές και δάσκαλοι φωνητικής, με ιδιαίτερη αγάπη για τις παλαιές φωνητικές παραδόσεις και τις μουσικές του κόσμου. Κάθε χρόνο διοργανώνουμε σεμινάρια τραγουδιού, όπου οι ερασιτέχνες τραγουδιστές έχουν την ευκαιρία να ανακαλύψουν σπάνια μουσικά ρεπερτόρια, να καλλιεργήσουν την ακουστική τους αντίληψη και να βιώσουν το τραγούδι ως μια αληθινή τέχνη του μοιράσματος.

Εδώ, στη Σύρο, δουλεύουμε με είκοσι χορωδούς πάνω σε ένα ρεπερτόριο ελληνικών, σεφαραδίτικων και γκρίκο τραγουδιών – τραγουδιών στην ελληνική γλώσσα που έχουν διατηρηθεί στη νότια Ιταλία. Η προσέγγισή μας συνδυάζει την προφορική μετάδοση, την αμοιβαία ακρόαση, τη χαρά του να τραγουδάμε μαζί και την ευχαρίστηση να γνωρίζουμε σε άλλους διαφορετικές μουσικές κουλτούρες.

Για εμάς, ένα σεμινάριο ολοκληρώνεται πραγματικά μόνο όταν η μουσική βγαίνει από την αίθουσα των προβών και συναντά το κοινό. Γι’ αυτό χαιρόμαστε ιδιαίτερα που θα μοιραστούμε αυτή τη συναυλία με τους κατοίκους της Σύρου. Είναι μια ευκαιρία να συναντηθούν οι πολιτισμοί μας μέσα από τη μουσική, να τιμήσουμε τις μουσικές παραδόσεις της Μεσογείου και να δημιουργήσουμε, μέσα από αυτή τη συναυλία, έναν ζωντανό δεσμό ανάμεσα στους τραγουδιστές και τους ανθρώπους που έρχονται να τους ακούσουν.
